Launched in 1938, this motor yacht boasts a rich history, crafted by the renowned De Vlijt shipyard (now Royal De Vries Shipyard) in Aalsmeer. Delivered in 1938, she embodies the classic “kofferdek” design by H.W. de Voogt. The double-planked wooden hull features diagonally carvel-built layers. The inner skin of 8mm Russian oak, riveted to the outer skin with red copper nails, provides a sturdy foundation. The outer skin above the waterline utilizes 10mm Tabasco mahogany for its beauty and durability, while 10mm teak protects the underwater section. To ensure water resistance, finely woven and impregnated cotton canvas, thickened with teak tar, seals the gap between the skins.
