These waters are certainly very challenging, with a lot of current, large shipping routes, shallows, etc. From Zeeland it is possible to make the crossing to the English East coast in a few days and back again. If the weather is bad, there are nice alternatives, such as exploring the Belgian coast. For the real sailor, the wind is of course more important than the temperature, so when it comes to sailing, the Netherlands is actually perfect. Moreover, these sailing areas have more to offer than you might expect when it comes to the beauty of nature.
